Sara joined BBC Radio 3 after winning a BBC Talent competition in 2005. She presented Radio 3 Breakfast from 2007-2013, and went on to host the BBC Proms, live concerts from Wigmore Hall, Choir & Organ and Hear & Now.

Since 2019, she has presented the experimental, after-dark show, NIGHT TRACKS, with co-host Hannah Peel.
